Through specialised healthcare facilities, Medcare aims to position itself as the go-to expert for all health and sport related injuries across the UAE and the GCC.

Ala Atari, CEO, Medcare, said: “Our partnership with the prestigious LaLiga will redefine how healthcare and sports can come together to provide sportspeople with the best of orthocare to enable superior playing performances. We are also confident that this agreement will shed light on the significance of the field of orthopaedics and the need for bone and muscle care.”

Fernando Sanz, Regional Director of LaLiga Middle East & North Africa and International Projects, said: “Medcare was our first choice when it came to brand association with a healthcare provider with expertise. Health and safety are very important issues for us and our goal is to continually find new ways to ensure the well-being of our players and strengthen our brand in the Middle East.”

LaLiga already has significant links with the UAE, starting in 2013, when it launched offices in Dubai – its first permanent base outside Spain. In June 2015, the sporting association signed a three-year agreement with the Pro League Committee, its counterpart in the UAE, after which it announced plans to launch its first High-Performance Centre in Dubai as part of LaLiga's international expansion strategy.

“LaLiga footballers are some of the best in the world and our partnership with them is symbolic of our presence on the regional healthcare map,” added Atari.
