Dr. Vladislav Smirnov is an anaesthesiologist with a PhD from the Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Belarus.
He has worked at a number of hospitals in Belarus. At the Minsk State Emergency Hospital, he has held a number of posts, including specialist anaesthesiologist, intensive care and anaesthesiology specialist for Neurosurgical and Multiple Trauma ICU, for Toxicology and Acute Poisoning Centre, and for Paediatric Neurosurgery ICU. Dr. Smirnov has been a university professor for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Department, Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Belarus. He has held the post of consultant anaesthesiologist and Head of the Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Department at the Belarusian National Cancer Centre. He has also worked at the BelEvroMed Medical Centre in Belarus.
Dr. Smirnov is a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology, the Interregional Association for Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and the Belarusian Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.
Dr. Vladislav Smirnov is an expert on perioperative pain management. He is an expert at managing anaesthesia for surgical oncology (all locations), and neurosurgery. He manages the specific requirements of anaesthesia for obese patients. He administers regional anaesthesia, and handles anaesthesia and postoperative care for sophisticated surgery, and anaesthesia and critical care for emergency, multiple trauma, and acute brain injury patients.
Apart from his work, Dr. Smirnov is passionate about travelling. He can speak English and Russian.
