    A: The covid rapid PCR test in Dubai and Sharjah is available at the following locations:

  • What does a covid-19 PCR test at Medcare Dubai & Sharjah cost?

    A:  A covid test is AED 65 at Medcare Hospital Sharjah & AED 150 at Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres. Medcare’s covid test fees in Dubai & Sharjah are compliant with the prices standardized by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

  • Do I need an appointment to get a covid PCR test at a Medcare Hospital or Clinic in Dubai or Sharjah?

    A: To ensure we serve you better, you are requested to book an appointment prior to going for a covid test at Medcare’s centres in Dubai & Sharjah.

  • Do I need to pre-register before taking a covid PCR test in Dubai or Sharjah?

    A: Once you book your covid PCR test appointment, we will send you an email to confirm your booking along with a link to a registration form. If you are a Medcare patient in Dubai or Sharjah, please fill out the existing patient form. If you are a new patient to Medcare in Dubai or Sharjah, we ask that you complete a new patient registration form. It is recommended that you pre-register in order to ensure quick service and no waiting time. Although, this is not mandatory.

  • What do I need to carry along with me for my covid test at Medcare?

    A: If you are a resident in either Dubai or Sharjah, please carry your Emirates ID. If you are a visitor, you need to bring your passport to your covid-19 PCR test appointment.

  • When do I expect to receive my covid PCR test results in Dubai or Sharjah?

    Rapid PCR test results are available within 24 hours after you take the covid test.

  • How will I receive my covid PCR test results?

    A: Once the covid PCR test results are out, you will automatically receive your positive or negative covid test result via SMS and email on the details you have registered with us.

  • Will I get my covid-19 PCR test results on the Medcare patient portal?

    A: No. Your covid test results in either Dubai or Sharjah will be sent to you via SMS and email on the details you have registered with us.

  • Can I walk in to a Medcare facility to do a covid PCR test?

    A: Yes, you may walk in to most Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres in Dubai and Sharjah to do a rapid covid PCR test. Also, you have the option of getting a covid PCR test done from the comfort of your home. Our qualified nurses will come to your doorstep and take the covid test swab. You can book an appointment for a covid test at home at this link.

  • How early should I arrive for my covid-19 PCR test appointment in Dubai or Sharjah?

    A: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled covid test appointment time in either Dubai or Sharjah. If you have not filled out your medical history pre-registration form included in your covid test appointment confirmation email, please scan the QR code displayed at the location to get access to the form. This will help reduce your wait time at reception. Individuals who arrive late to their covid test appointment will need to expect some delay.

    If you have been in contact with someone who has covid in Dubai or Sharjah, or if you are having covid symptoms, you are required to reach the centre 20 minutes before your covid test appointment to take a consultation with a doctor.

  • Are PCR tests in Dubai and Sharjah covered under insurance?

    A: If you have been in contact with someone who has covid, or if you are having covid symptoms, your covid-19 PCR test could be covered under your insurance plan in Dubai or Sharjah. You will have to take a consultation with a doctor, before going for your covid test upon insurance approval. In such cases, you are required to reach the centre 20 minutes before your covid test appointment in Dubai or Sharjah.
