Ms. Sreevidhya Srinivas is a Clinical Psychologist for Children and Adolescents at Medcare Camali Clinic in Jumeirah. She obtained her BA (Hons.) in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi, her MA in Applied Clinical Psychology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, New Delhi, India. She holds an ADOS certification from Drexel University and a BLS certification from the American Heart Association. She is a member of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and the American Psychological Association.
Ms. Srinivas started her career with a psychologist internship at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and then at Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital in Mumbai, alongside her postgraduate studies. Here, she gained valuable experience working in the de-addiction ward of a hospital, providing dedicated care to individuals struggling with substance abuse. She has also worked with the Kripa Foundation, Rehabilitation Centre and Ummeed Child Development Centre. She joined the Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences, New Delhi, as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist as she completed her M.Phil. Subsequently, she joined Madeena Medical Centre, Kerala, as a Clinical Psychologist. She later joined the Behavioural and Neuroscience Centre, Kerala, as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist before moving to the UAE. In the UAE, she has been a Clinical Psychologist at the Camali Clinic Child and Adult Mental Health, Dubai and LifeWorks Holistic Counselling Centre.
Ms. Srinivas believes in delivering evidence-based interventions for diverse age groups and excels in comprehensive psychological assessments, individualised treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She specialises in a broad spectrum of psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions. She conducts comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults and treats a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorders, phobias, stress, adjustment disorders, and sexual dysfunction. Additionally, her expertise encompasses ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), conduct disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and learning disabilities. She uses various assessment tools, such as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), and Conners Rating Scales. She integrates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with other treatment modalities, including mindfulness and trauma-focused therapy. She tailors therapies to each client’s unique needs, providing personalised and effective care.
Ms. Srinivas has contributed to the field through publications like “Her Body Grieves Her Unsung Pain” in the Indian Journal of Clinical Psychology and has been a guest speaker at events such as “Child’s Mental Health and Healthy Parenting” at Aster Hospitals, Dubai. She enjoys reading a good book during her spare time. She speaks English, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
