Dr. Sumeet Sukhi is a senior opthalmologist who specialises in the treatment of cataract, glaucoma and paediatric eye diseases. He completed his masters from the Barkatullah University in Bhopal, India. He has worked as a specialist at the Zulekha Hospital and Lifeline Hospital in Dubai, UAE and is a member of the All India Ophthalmology Society, the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, the Emirates Medical Association and the European Cataract and Refractive Society.
Dr. Sukhi specialises in all types of cataract surgery including phacoemulsification with premium lenses, small incision cataract surgery and secondary IOL, procedures to treat glaucoma such as SLT lasers for open angle and YAG for closed angles, partial thickness filtration surgery (trabeculectomy) with antimetabolites, glaucoma valve surgery for end-stage glaucoma, all types of simple and complicated corneal and scleral lacerations involving anterior segment, eyelid oculoplastic surgeries including lacerartions, injuries, entropion, etc., routine ocular reconstruction and enhancement procedures like stem cell grafting, amniotic grafts, pterygium with autografting and punctal plugs for dry eyes and paediatric procedures to treat cataracts and nasolacrimal duct obstructions.
He is also an expert in the diagnosis of retinal ailments and medical treatment of the retina in the form of intravitreal injections in diabetic retinopathy and ARMD. When he gets off work, Dr. Sukhi likes to listen to music and watch sports. He is fluent in Arabic, English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
